Dr. David J Cinats

Dr. David J Cinats is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty training in complex trauma, post-traumatic reconstruction, and upper extremity surgery. He completed his Orthopaedic trauma fellowship through the University of British Columbia at the Royal Columbian Hospital and his upper extremity and reconstruction fellowship at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. Dr. Cinats created the Limb Reconstruction and Limb Salvage Program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, before returning to Canada and bringing his expertise in trauma, post-traumatic reconstruction, and upper extremity surgery.

Dr. Cinats is currently a UBC Faculty member, serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Department of Orthopaedics. He specializes in acute orthopaedic trauma, post-traumatic limb reconstruction, limb deformity and limb lengthening, nerve and soft tissue reconstruction, hip reconstruction, and upper extremity surgery.
